Toby, with a terribly sad voice and tears in his eyes, told us about his dream of the butterfly without his leg. He told us the butterfly got his leg cut off as he is showing us the graphic details with hand motions. He kept asking us for days where's the butterfly's leg? We responded with the butterfly doesn't have legs - he has wings and he flew home to his mommy and daddy. That seemed to only pass the time...because it wasn't long before he was asking again.
A few nights later, before going to bed, he asked Ronnie as he was holding Grayson where the butterfly leg is again. Then asked where is his leg. Ronnie said you are such a lucky little boy - you get to put your leg on and take it off when you want to. We take your leg off when it's time to go to sleep. Toby pointed to his leg over by the closet and said, "There it is" and then looked at daddy holding Grayson and asked him to take Grayson's leg off. Oh boy...he's starting to get it now.
Grayson, whose is now a chunky 14 1/2 lbs. and a long 24 inches, loves bath time. He has the cutest laugh that I've got to get on video. Toby loves to help with Grayson and here he's doing a really good job bathing him.
