Toby's 1st Day at School & 2nd Day Home

Tuesday was Toby's orientation at Advent Day School.  This is his second year attending the school.  I took a few pictures of his room.  Cousin Daisy will be in the same class 3 out of the 5 days Toby attends.

Toby and Daisy in the "Tree house"
Wednesday was Toby's first day back at school.  The morning started off great - Toby woke up and asked to go pee pee in the potty - which he did - and for which he got 1 M&M.  Toby got dressed, put gel in his hair, and even squirted his shirt with Daddy's cologne.  He was ready!  Mommy gave Toby his favorite breakfast- yogurt and cereal.  He ate all his yogurt in 5 minutes and looked at me and said, "My all done, my ready to go!"  School starts at 9 - which was another 45 minutes away!  Ronnie was able to take two pictures before it was time to go.

We met cousin Daisy in the parking lot and took them into what Ms. Cindy and Ms. Amy call the "Tree house" room.  Toby is already familiar with Ms. Amy because she was his art teacher last year.

Tuesday night, Ronnie noticed Toby's foot on his prosthetic (the sailfish leg) began moving side to side.  I overnighted it to Paul in Gainesville Wednesday morning.   In the meantime - Toby wore his "water leg" which is basically just a temporary leg that he wears to the beach and the pool.  It is not designed to take the wear and tear of a normal toddler.  Wednesday evening Toby stepped up on the stair at home and I heard a pop.  His temporary leg cracked and the part that holds it on above his knee broke off.
So... Toby couldn't go to school the second day and has been without a leg now for almost 24 hours.  Thank goodness it was in the evening and it was only a few hours until bedtime.

Paul received the fish leg this morning, fixed it, and mama drove halfway to Gainesville to meet one of Paul's employees to get it back.  She exchanged the water leg to get that fixed too.  THANKS MOM & PAUL!!
Basically what happened was the epoxy glue inside the connector plate and the socket came undone.  Paul just had to add some more.  Tonight.... thank God...we will have the sailfish leg back and our Toby will be back to normal:)
Have a wonderful weekend! Love, the Kings

Hey there,
Love the new blog! Can you send (or email me) one of your cards? We've talked about doing something like that and I would love to see what you guys came up with.

I think Toby and Grayson look so much alike - so cute!
