I think Toby got to see just how much fun Easter is! A week ago, before Spring Break, Toby had an Easter egg hunt at school. We brought home at least a dozen candy filled eggs and decided to hide one egg in the kitchen every day for him to hunt for. So for a week leading up to Easter ( THE BIG EGG HUNT - as Toby would say with his arms wide apart), Toby would find one candy filled egg for a treat.
On Friday night, we went to church for the first of the 3 day Grand Opening services at our new location. It was great! Then Saturday morning I made bunny pancakes and we did Easter crafts and painting. We colored our hard boiled eggs and glued sparkles on them:)
Toby also had his first ice cream cone Saturday afternoon. We were too pooped to party Saturday night.
On Sunday, we woke up excited that the Easter bunny came. We got ready for church fast and ran downstairs to see what he brought! Toby got a Benjamin Bunny book, a Curious George Bunny movie, a fun foam gun, Easter craft magnets, and Easter eggs with candy and toys. Toby also got cool little magnet sticks and balls to build things. The Easter bunny also brought daddy a Softball basket with a gift card to Sports Authority, Big league chew, and sour candy (his favorite). Daddy's now all set for his softball season he just started:)
We went to the early service and Toby got to do an Easter egg hunt at church. After his nap, we had a family egg hunt in the back yard. We hid about 20 eggs. That boy must have an eye for candy - even if it's inside a plastic egg. He had no problem finding the ones we thought for sure would take him a while to find.
Love, The Kings
