Summer Heat and Fun in the Sun!

I know this comes as no surprise... the summer heat is here and boy is it hotter than ever! Toby enjoys running around in his diaper, and getting in water whenever and wherever he can. We play in the pool, in the sand box, and chase and catch frogs! It's going to be a long summer with a little toddler that would choose to be outside all day if he could. It's a good thing Mama and Papa got him his own chair to relax inside! Too cute!

We went to the beach two weekends ago with the family and Toby went on his 1st deep sea fishing trip! We went 30 miles offshore Destin Harbour. Toby did great.... he loved playing with the pin fish in the live well. He fought sleep 'till the last second and then finally passed out below with the air conditioning and slept over an hour - approximately the entire time we caught all our big fish. Freeman caught a 15lb snapper, Heather caught a 15lb AJ, and I got the biggest... which was way over due since I only go fishing once every 5 years. I caught a 25lb AJ which almost took me overboard ...literally! After the excitement...Toby woke up:) Go figure! We had fresh fish for dinner.

The next day we went to Henderson park with Heather, Daisy and Marcus!

The kids enjoyed playing in the tidal pool and the extremely clear ocean water!

Last weekend we went to the Rose Garden Park in Thomasville. They have a great big lake with a train that goes over the water, a huge playground, and lots of room to run crazy and chase ducks! Here's the little man taking a break. He's been climbing the big boy stairs and going down slides at the park all by himself!

Toby is in to making all kinds of funny faces, and saying big words

like fragile, diaper, and Daisy. Just the other night, he counted to three with Nana at the dinner table. We all were so shocked...we couldn't believe it! He loves to clean with mommy....he even has his own vacuum. He loves to play in the dirt with mommy while she's gardening. He especially loves to play hide and seek now every night. He will initiate it when it's time! He says "HIDE" and puts his finger over his mouth... then jumps up and screams! It's pretty entertaining! He's doing what I call the Daisy dance... where he stomps really fast while running. He reminds us of the energizer bunny!

We don't have any summer vacations planned except for some trips to Destin. Ronnie's Birthday is Thursday... and Saturday we are going to a pool party and cook out for the 4th. We hope you all have a wonderful and safe Holiday!
